phantoon is still the hilariously fast no fuckin around project base phantoon and i actually died once from being unprepared lol. at 39 here i manage to get the timing right and stunlock it's disappearance not quite doppler style for a ton of hits! makes me so happy lol

for me a big question for if it'd keep being interesting or start to feel kinda samey as pb did was if they'd do something diff with the wrecked ship. they didn't make it any bigger really but i do quite like a new coat of paint, this aesthetic is kinda fun for it

ancient chozo is really a lot like project base so far, except with its own extremely loved on art changes and a lot of base's skips patched back out. honestly i might kinda rec playing it over base if you just want to get a "super metroid with something changed" experience
