Biography: Surprisingly, there have been attempts to bring back the Egyptian Gods and even Exodia himself from their self-imposed exile to a land not even Duel Monsters can normally reach. This isn't easy, as the only way to reverse their spell of exile is to use ancient summoning scrolls once thought to be lost to history.

The truth, however, is that said scrolls are being guarded by a student of Exodia, one who promised to keep their exile for as long as possible to hope preventing the death of the Duelscape. This very student is today's monster, Ancient Dragon. No relation to the OTHER Ancient Dragon in the Duel Monsters canon.

Originally a member of Five-Headed Dragon's court, he retired himself after a fateful battle Exodia and vowed to help his better out in any way he could. As such, he was entrusted with the prevention of Exodia's return, becoming a part of Luminous Cloud's inhabitants and refusing to show these scrolls to anyone.

This even includes Sanga of the Thunder, though Sanga himself understood due to Ancient Dragon's overall wisdom and loyalty. As of now, he serves as the ambassador to the Dragon Republic on behalf of Luminous Cloud, and is often seen talking with the wiser of their fellow Dragons such as Thunder Dragon and Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress (or Narses as he's preferred to be called).

Still, these creatures reign far above even some other magical creatures, with the ability to breath venom upon their prey. There are also those among this race that do rise above this bestial state, amassing great hoards, and gaining sentience and cunning that rival those of the greater dragons.
