I believe that the person who sets out candles for you on your birthday, the person who tells you to do your homework, who took you to theme parks, who picked you up when you fell apart, that person loves you. That person cares about you and whenever I start to hate my parents, I think about all the shit they do for me and all the stuff they give up and I'm grateful. And it doesn't matter that my dad's a control freak or that my mom's halfway around the world, because I love them and it's ok.
