Daikon is canonically pan. Just an FYI.
Orcs are interesting because while they don't go around being a warlike race, they do care about fighting. It takes a lot of strength and dexterity to handle the animals they ranch. Not to mention some of the more active plants.
Sometimes they have to fight a flower for their dinner.
So it's more to show you can handle the gathering traditionally.
