omg this is such good timing because i just watched dead poets society last night 🥹🥹 it was SO SAD omfg
okay so here we go, i’ll do 10, and in no particular order!
1. dead poets society
it was AMAZING. i love the english teacher. i just love the idea of like a group of boys experiencing boyhood and doing what they love, and i love they pushed against conformity (conformity gate reference….). but gosh it was so sad omg
2. forest gump
bro just an amazing and funny movie. i haven’t seen it in a while but like i love the main character, he just listened to instructions and made things so simple. i need to be like that; i tend to overcomplicate things
3. call me by your name
literally no words. like omfg. BEAUTIFUL movie. the cinematography, the story, the ACTING, the lessons…. it was so sad but like tragically beautiful.
4. get out
i love this horror movie so much! i watched it with my family and then i watched it in film class. it’s a great take on racism. there’s a lot of symbolism and i think it was very well written and i love the foreshadowing. it’s the type of movie that like when you rewatch it you have a whole new perspective.
5. moana
i mean. like. i love this movie. i lvoe disney movies. i love the music, i love how moana is independent. i’ve literally rewatched this movie like 1000 times.
6. avatar (both 1&2 because i haven’t seen 3 but i like 2 a little better because im a sucker for tropical scenery)
just a great dystopian representation of how humans just destroy beautiful things. the visuals are all so beautiful and the cgi is SO impressive. also i ADORE kiri, tsireya, and the mom (forgot her name IM SORRY 😭😭😭
7. the matrix
literally no words. it makes me rethink life and what reality is.
8. the sound of music
BEAUTIFUL!!!! i haven’t watched it in so long but i lvoe the music, the vibe, and the story.
9. the hunger games
i haven’t read the book or even watched all of the movies, but i really like the commmentary on society and this dystopia isn’t much of a dystopia and it’s more of a reality now... god i HATE Snow. he reminds me of someone… 🍊🍊🍊
10. bottoms
this movie was so funny! i love yuri storylines and i need to watch more lgbtq+ movies, i have a whole watchlist.
okaaayyy that’s all i’m putting, i don’t even know if these are actually my top 10 because there’s so many more movies that i like and this also made me realize how many movies ive actually watched 🥹🥹
