Heads up for art commission and Patreon stuff:

I will be updating my commission info and contracts in the face of yet more A I bullsh*t because even more scammers are out there generating the sketch-line art-flats-full shading stuff that makes even more work for actual artists to prove that we do what we actually do. That, and more and more people are taking sketches and feeding them into AI and then not paying. So. Yay. 😒

It looks like I’ll also be adding an area in my commission form to make a formal request for a screen recording/time lapse/live stream of the commission, as well. Which will be more work for me, but might help some folks be more at ease with the process. 👍

As always, I’m super appreciative of both my Patreons and commissioners, and I hope this helps rather than be super annoying lol. 😭

back in 2020 a fellow screenwriter told me I needed to get familiar with canva for my career and I was all "pfft no thanks, all I need is Final Draft, Word, and google docs". like, the idea that I - a writer - would need to do anything with design!!!!

anyway, fast forward to 2023 and now I'm always on canva, making my little bibles and pitch decks, worrying about fonts and images and feeling like a fool

that fellow screenwriter was right!

(but also, that fellow screenwriter saved me a lot of money - do you know how crazy pitch deck prices can get?! Desperate writers are dropping 1000s on someone else designing one for them. meanwhile i refuse to pay £100 and upgrade to premium canva when the free version is working just fine)
