Watching that Tyler catastrophe uproar going around is certainly something but I think, outside of his absurd malice towards a victim of abuse, one of the other misbehaviors of his that makes me viscerally angry is him acting like he’s not white esp on his tumblr where he acted like being half Portuguese (NOT BRAZILIAN OR LATAM AT ALL) made him like ?? I guess? Not white ???? And he went on this huge rant on his now deactivated tumblr about how it feels to idk yada yada be disconnected with a culture. And it makes me so icked out as someone who’s Mexican but was raised kinda separate from her culture and only actually started to reconnect with it all when I was in 5th grade. This guy genuinely will never understand what true cultural isolation on that level feels like, especially when you can’t even communicate with your own family, because he is European white !! This guy wants to separate himself from whiteness so bad it’s embarrassing, genuinely.
