Generation 2 begins!
With the Ashby sisters far, far from home ...
Akeelah, inspired by all the work her mom, Aisha, put into restoring the island of Sulani, applied and was hired for an entry level position with a non-profit architecture firm, in a little industrial town, who’s primary goal is to rehabilitate and rebuild the town, one neighborhood at a time.
With her bags nearly packed and her travel arrangements already booked, there was still one little -- well big -- thing she needed to make everything just right and that was her little sister and best friend, Kaia, right by her side.
There was just one problem -- Kaia, was still a teen -- very close to aging up but still a teen nonetheless, so their parents’ permission wasn’t guaranteed.
After spending an entire weekend cooking up the perfect proposal, the girls presented their idea to their parents along with a promise to be responsible and another to maintain Kaia’s A average in school and to their surprise their request was granted!
Now, we follow the girls as they set off for their new life in a new town by the name of Evergreen Harbor.
