Can you imagine how a 10/15 seconds "The Grinch"-style stupid scene would have changed things for the people who didn't like the ending - which from what I can see is 90% of the fandom, at least ?
A zoom out of Asa and Anthony, living inside the snowglobe.
The snowglobe is placed in the Garden of Eden/Bookshop where many other snowglobes exist, and in each one lives a version of Aziraphale and Crowley who meet throughout human history, as humans.
And then we see them, as a former angel and a former demon, together and happy, watching over everything like silent guardians, under an apple tree, having their long-awaited and postponed picnic.
Or just a tighter shot showing their hands, holding a glass of wine making a toast, with the Asa and Anthony snowglobe in the center of the table.
And don't "it doesn't make sense because the universe they want is without black and white, without angels and demons, without heaven and hell" at me. The universe we saw take shape in the finale was born thanks to the intervention of God and thanks to two creatures belonging to heaven and hell. So what are we talking about, exactly?
Ok fine, no kiss (because God forbid - no pun intended - there be a kiss between them that is not desperate and painful but tender and unrushed, as they deserved after only 6000 years, ffs 😡.)
At least we would have seen them together and alive.
And again don't "you can see and understand that in the final credits" at me, because that's like finding out with a lil ✨Clue✨ who the killer is by reading the back cover of a detective story.
...
10/15
fucking
seconds.
