1. Why do you ship ZhuiLing? They’re cousins.
Tackling this one first because it’s the most common and also the most exhausting because some of y’all obviously don’t understand how Chinese cultivation sects, honorifics and relationships work. Even if I didn’t ship Zhuiling, this still applies:
They’re not cousins.

Now, adding onto the post I linked above, the headcanon that they’re cousins doesn’t change the fact that, canonically, they simply aren’t related.
It’s impossible for JL to be directly related to LSZ in any form because LSZ is a Wen and saying they’re related because of WangXian isn’t a canon fact—it’s a headcanon since LSZ isn’t their adopted child and doesn’t recognize LWJ or WWX as family.
The other argument I hear constantly is “LSZ said LWJ is like a father to him.”
And?
I’m someone who’s legitimately adopted and there have been several people in my life who I’ve considered ‘like a parent’ to me. In no way, shape, or form does that mean I saw them as actual related family and it definitely doesn’t mean that I saw all of their distant relatives-by-marriage as my family because honestly, that’s just weird and unhinged.
This is the most far-fetched argument imo because it seems like a last-straw-grab at trying to rag on a ship you just don’t personally enjoy by trying to pass off fanon as canon.
It would basically be like me walking into my dojang one day and claiming that everyone there is my cousin out of nowhere. They’d probably send me to a mental hospital honestly lmao

Since this question gets asked so much, the only place I’ll be answering it is here in this FAQ. Actual asks will be ignored at this point because I’m tired.
2. Do you take fic/edit/art requests?
At the moment, no. I don’t have the time or attention span to keep up with requests and I probably never will. I do, however, accept ideas without the expectation of me doing anything with said idea. But if the idea you give me inspires something in me, then I’ll create something for it.
3. I’ve seen your personal posts and was wondering: do you have cancer?
As of September 20th 2023, I’ve been cleared of all cancer suspicions! I’m officially done with doctors and stress of the unknown, yaaaay!!! 🎉✨🌸
4. What other ships do you ship?
To be honest, I don’t actively ship many ships outside of Zhuiling but a few other ships I like are: YanQing (Jiang Yanli x Wen Qing), MingChen (Nie Mingjue x Lan Xichen), SangCheng (Nie Huaisang x Jiang Cheng), WangXian (Lan Wangji x Wei Wuxian) simply because they’re canon and I casually reblog them every now and then, ZhenYi (Ouyang Zizhen x Lan Jingyi) - not something I really actively post but I think it’s cute.
As you can see, I’m obsessed with rare pairs lmao
5. Why do you ship everyone as aspec (asexual)?
Simply put: because I’m aspec myself (sapphic aroace, to be exact).
I also just don’t particularly enjoy reading smut and I definitely don’t enjoy writing it. If you ever expect sexy time from my fics, I’m letting you know now that it’s never going to happen.
I only write junior-centric ships too so that’s even more of a reason. Reading or seeing NSFW content with them is extremely uncomfortable so of course, I’d never create that myself.
Other than that, I just think there’s a lack of aspec relationships in the fandom.
6. Do you have a certain schedule for turning anon asks on?
Not right now, which I apologize might be confusing! I turn it off when I have a few asks that I know are gonna take me a while to answer (especially if one is an idea that I want to write a ficlet for). Alternatively, I turn it off when I’m not in the headspace to receive asks and turn it back on when I feel less overwhelmed, so it’s fairly random at the moment.
7. Why don’t you discuss fandom discourse?
Because honestly, it’s annoying and dramatic. I’m literally only in the fandom to make jokes, have fun and meet other fans who like to do the same. There’s already enough useless drama to deal with in real life, I don’t need it in my online life too 😭
I’m also just not that great at articulating thoughts without getting devastatingly spicy. Feelings get hurt, anons cry, hell rejects me for the 50000th time, it just becomes a whole ugly thing that’s better to avoid tbh lmao
In addition, if you ever take any of my joke/shitposts seriously, that’s really on you because nothing I post on here is ever that deep. I fully support allowing people to be silly and have fun without analyzing and nitpicking every little detail, especially if it’s a shitpost and was obviously made as a harmless joke.
8. Facts about you?
I go by the name Apple! My pronouns are she/her and I’m a (non-American) orphaned mutt with no knowledge of my biological family who was adopted into a Korean family.
I really really like bugs. I always tag for phobias but occasionally, you’ll see personal posts about cool bugs I find. I like to hold them and let them run all over my hand while I call them ✨fancy bois✨ because they deserve compliments tbh 💞
I have ADHD and the constant anxiety levels of someone being hunted for sport that actually gets worse when I’m online so I limit my time on social media because of it.

9. Do you follow back?
Sometimes but it takes me a while to follow back because I’m not on here much (my queue just makes it look like I am lol). I’m not an F4F blog though. If you wanna be moots to scream about fandom together, that’s totally chill but if you’re only looking to boost follower count then I’m not on here for that.
10. I messaged you a while ago but haven’t heard back?
I genuinely don’t get on here much even though it seems like I do because of my queue and the occasional random thought vomit. It takes me super long to get back to replies because of how hectic my life is—I try my best, I really do, but I have a lot going on 24/7 and honestly don’t spend much time on social apps or my phone in general, but I always reply eventually when I can!
