#ok I might have to have a little yap in the tags if that's ok#because this moment was the exact moment I knew this was not just going to be some show I like but a show I was going to lose my heart to#I think it was a four stage process: I already loved p&p and so was very ready to like tobs even before I started watching it#then it took me like less than one episode to completely fall in love with Mary and I saw myself in so many of her idiosyncrasies#then dónal Finn walked onto the screen in episode three and I knew him from hadestown and I completely lost it!#but then tom says that poetry is his passion and in that exact moment I knew it was over for me#suddenly it was a show set in the world of p&p with an extremely well-written MC and a love interest played by one of my favourite actors#WHOSE PASSION IS POETRY#in case you didn't know this about me - I love poetry. so much.
