My headcanon for Veilguard is that it was a book Varric wrote, but the Chantry got involved and made him change a bunch of stuff. Most of it didn’t happen, at least not that way. They needed some propaganda, and quick. Their precious Herald of Andraste just fucked off with the Dread Wolf himself to live in the Fade forever. Varric begrudgingly made the edits, killed himself off in the book, then washed his hands of it, and is relaxing in sunny Rivain under a fake name right now.

aside from canon one of my favorite kevjean dynamics is kevin having like a stupid crush on jean post canon. like oh he's so hot now.... meanwhile jean is like completely unaware of it and is probably thinking wtf is wrong with him when he acts weird about it.

Still confused about why Kabru took his pauldron off for a fight in the latest episode. He got hit exactly where it sits. Why did he do that. Was he trying to look better. Being well-equipped in a fight is the best look you can have. Laios literally said eating and resting well means you're serious about something he wouldn't say taking off your armor makes you serious about combat. It wasn't a bulky pauldron. He had to be used to the weight by then. What was going on in that freak's (neutral) head

hey if you feel like it could you expand a little bit more on sam and crowley's relationship and the whole crowley is keenly aware that sam could take everything from him at any moment he just doesn't want to thing? because i could have sworn the writers completely forgot this was a possible angle for their dynamic (although i still love it!!) as they do with so many sam storylines (him being the destined king of hell SHOULD have had SO much more impact in the story C'MON!) like literally until you mentioned i forgot crowley has sam's cosmically assigned job, but obviously you have a huge brain and you probably see things in the text i don't and all. anyway thank you for your service ❤

i get the sense crowley spends a hell of a lot more time thinking about sam than sam ever does about him, and crowley knows that and it pisses him off. he hates how irrelevant he is to sam. he’s the king of hell, he’s technically sam’s great rival, and sam just doesn’t see him as enough of a threat to even consider fighting him properly. and the worst thing is plenty of demons view him as ruling with winchester permission! in the eyes of many of his subjects he’s just keeping sam’s seat warm. and part of crowley knows that that’s true

sam is so so so important to crowley. he nearly turns him human. he gets him addicted to human blood. he takes out lucifer and lilith and alistair which leaves the post-apocalypse vacuum that crowley slips so neatly into. he’s briefly possessed by crowley

but sam always has more important things to be thinking about. so many moments that are so monumental for crowley centre around sam, and to sam they’re just another day. and when crowley is present for the big stuff happening to sam he’s NOT where sam’s focus is

imo crowley’s weird thing with dean always felt like “well at least your brother will pay attention to me!!!!!”. sam’s attention is dangerous to crowley, his power is A Threat, but somewhere along the way of wanting sam to see him as a legitimate rival but also not wanting to die, crowley started caring

AND THEN AFTER ALL THAT CROWLEY’S HORRIBLE MOTHER SHOWS UP AND SHE SOMEHOW GETS TO BE FRIENDS WITH SAM IT’S NOT FAIR!!!!!!

meanwhile the greatest impact crowley ever has on sam is when he kills sarah blake. apart from that he’s beneath his attention, except for wanting to kill him. and isn’t that just a perfectly fitting attitude for a king to have towards a pretender who he could crush with one hand tied behind his back

and yet all this is mainly just a side effect of them not bothering to write many interesting sam crowley interactions and not following up on the ones they did. by sidelining sam they ended up with this incredibly intriguing dynamic where one person is way more invested than the other. shoddy writing is the reason they’re so interesting
