Since I’m already changing this because I can't do shit in a timely manner, I guess I’ll have to adjust the rules to fit for all:
Make a new post to share an excerpt, bold the last line itself to highlight, and tag the amount of people in that line. Or don’t. Post an excerpt to share or post seven lines of something you’re proud of.... Honestly, seems to me these are all guidelines anyways. I just like reading everybody’s stuff, and that looks to be the point of it all.

Alright, disclosure, I don’t have very much writing cooking right now. My ‘original’ story (I still feel weird saying this - is this really original?) is still in the super vague outlining stage, and my True Blood crossover is mostly dialog. I’ve been going through and rewording Spiral chapter by chapter, which is taking some time, but that feels like cheating since it's already posted. Meh, guidelines. And digressing. I'm bad at this guys...
As she looked up to the entryway, her stomach dropped and threatened to toss up the small amount of food she had been able to put down. At the door was a tall figure with familiar blue eyes. Familiar blond hair. And a very familiar demeanor that loudly proclaimed pompous jackass.
“Motherfucker, how did you get here?!”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t think I needed to explain my travel methods to every entitled patron of this…. Fine establishment.”
Even though he sounded like a duck, looked like a duck, she knew she was not in the presence of a duck. Watching his head tilt in confusion only solidified this observation.
How much planning do you do before your books? Are you a detailed planner? And if not, do you find that you get more writer's block than other writers? I've got some outline done, but I don't know if I'm doing too much or too little and I really wanna just start writing!
I’m not really the best person to talk to about this. While I *do* plan to some extent I also don’t. I’m a hybrid of both a planner and a not planner. I find it works for me, and although I do sometimes get writer’s block, it’s never for long and it’s usually outside sources that cause that for me - such as bad health, or procrastination rather than lack of ideas.
I think that what you should do, is start writing, and if you run into problems, then you can take some time to outline more. I’m no expert and I think it really is a personal choice. While I have some idea of outlining, for some books I will outline in detail and in others, I’ll get by with just a general idea and a chapter plan.
So, there are a ton of vlogs on Youtube about outlining, my advice would be to check those out if you’re looking for how much is too much :)
