❣: 20 (Since you said you wanted to write all of the kisses, I'm game for 2, 7, 10, 17, or 18 Between him and either my muse Jay or Song.)
7: a hug + kiss combo (for Song)
Percival looked up from his paperwork when the conference room door opened, silenced mid-sentence in his brief to the his senior aurors and law enforcement staff. The rest of the room went silent as well, and all eyes turned to the door, everyone thrumming with anticipation of how Director Graves would react to such rudeness. With several ready aurors at his back, Percival abandoned the large table and approached the door, mood as dark as a storm cloud.
But the storm gave way to sunny skies in a flash, because who he found was–
“Song?” Percival breathed.
It was Song Luna who crashed the meeting, unapologetically, if her impish smile was any measure. Of course only she would dare interrupt what could be considered one of his most important duties, and only she could ever do so without reprimand. Not that Percival minded his own favoritism–it had been at least six months since he’d seen her, only a little less since he’d heard from her.
Most, if not all, of his staff knew her or knew of her with how highly and how often he spoke of her. She visited him as often as possible, and their relationship went back years–all the way back to when Percival was assigned as her mentor for her magical studies in the US. Of all his students, he was by and far, proudest of her and her accomplishments.
Without preamble, he hauled her into a longing embrace, the kind that spoke of how dear she was to him, of how much he’d missed her while she was away. He tucked her beneath his chin and marveled at the sweetness of her shampoo, a scent that always heralded a heated debate or an unexpected adventure whenever he caught it. And before anything further could be said, he pressed a kiss to her temple. “It’s been ages,” he sighed, as if a weight had been lifted from his shoulders. Given the chaos abroad, he couldn’t help but worry for as she traveled. “I’m so glad you’re safe.”
