He’s the Captain of an America that lets cops kill unarmed Black people and does nothing, that lets legislature harmful to transgender youth be passed, that continues to hold people in cages at the border. Oh, he’s Captain America, all right, he’s the face hiding behind the shiny red-white-and-blue façade.

Sam Wilson is the Captain America of the future. He’s a new hope, a level headed, good man who actively focuses on rehabilitation, on talking things out instead of going in shield swinging. He’s what America could hope to be, someday.
