I’m coming with my unsolicited opinion on Harry’s clothes. I agree with almost everything you said but I’m coming from a different perspective. Full Disclosure: I don’t like most of his recent fashion choices. I don’t know anything about fashion, but aesthetically they just do nothing for me. Now the important part: they don’t have to. I don’t need to like them, but mostly, H doesn’t owe me choices I like (he doesn’t owe me anything, but that’s a larger discussion in this fandom). Now I want 1/2

people to imagine their mom or partner constantly harping on about their clothes, criticizing everything, and telling them to wear something different. Fucking irritating, isn’t it? A bit hurtful? Now, let’s imagine random strangers doing it, on the street, commenting on insta or fb, anywhere. Rude AF, mean, and seriously out of line, right? That’s you, dear fashion critics. So maybe just let Harry wear his (subjectively) weird loafers, pants, and sweaters in peace and get the fuck over it? 2/2

So well said, I agree 100%!! To me, the irony is when people repost the gif of him tearfully saying he’d like to not care what other people think about him, but he does, and then there’s the add on of him mid-concert, just living his best life, with the person tagging it like, “I can’t believe people made him feel terrible, look at him soaring now, etc.” AND THEN THEY GO AND TRASH HIS LOOK ON ANOTHER POST! Like, you’re doing the same thing! And there’s a belief that he lurks from time to time (or some lucky intern does), so why would you do that if you hated anyone who made baby Harry feel that way…mid-20s Harry isn’t immune to strangers thinking he looks weird. Just does not compute. And I get it, like you said, fashion is subjective, your faves are gonna wear stuff you don’t personally love, but it’s not about you, it’s about them. Or maybe it IS about you, and you’re projecting somehow. Idk, but I’m with you on this…if you don’t like his loafers? Have I got some great news for you: you don’t have to!

Picked up These Violent Delights because I think I remember you reading that a while back

yes! i have very mixed feelings toward that novel. it’s beautifully written and from a literary sense/perspective it’s quite good. personally, though, it really messed me up mental health wise; i want to warn you right now that these violent delights depicts deep depression in an extremely realistic way that can be triggering if you’re someone who suffers with mdd

Hulu needs to stop with the “testimonial” ads for shows already. The “fans” (never convince me they aren't paid) always sound like they've consumed maybe 3 pieces of media in their lives, and only make the show's sound generic and/or awful.
