I have Feelings about that saying that's like 'to be loved is to be seen' and of course I'm gonna make that about zosan.✨

Because they've been without it for so long for different reasons. Like Zoro was probably pretty lonely. The only time people looked at him growing up was when he was fighting. Being a swordsman was his only goal, his only focus, so I doubt he'd ever even let someone close enough to really look at him. And Sanji came from Germa. Even though he had Zeff after he left, he was trained to think just about every part of him was weak, a total failure, and that it needed to be hidden away. He shouldn't be seen.

So imagine the fucking curveball it would be to suddenly have a person next to you that knows you, inside out, someone that completely understands you. They're so in sync in every aspect of life. On the battle field they never have to tell the other what they're doing or where they're going. They put their lives in each other's hands every day and have total faith and trust in each other.

And in mundane life, too. Like Zoro is never lost now (not that he ever was..) because Sanji just always knows where he'd be. He knows how Zoro thinks, so he knows what turns he probably took or what made him think to go where. Zoro can tell you everything Sanji does in a day, down to the time he shits. He's memorized Sanji's every move since they started sailing together.

They know exactly how the other is feeling with just a look. Sanji hears what Zoro means when all he does is simple grunts. Zoro knows what Sanji's thinking just from the way he lights his cigarette.

Just.. I'm thinking about them knowing each other entirely. Like yeah they know and love their crew, but there's just something different about the way they know each other. Zoro knows Sanji's kitchen down to the scratches on the floor boards and Sanji knows everything about Zoro's swords, he could tell you which blade is which from the weight of the hilt alone. They be finishing each other's sentences. They're handing the other whatever they need before they even reach for it. They know every scar, every birthmark on each other's bodies.

And I want them to be so in sync, and for it to be so natural for them that they don't even notice at first. Sanji doesn't realize until one night he's too tired to properly think and Zoro guides him through his whole night routine perfectly. Sure they've been together for a long time, but Sanji is certain that not a single other person on the ship would know what order he uses his soaps. Zoro doesn't notice until one night Sanji gets drunk and babbles for like three hours about Zoro's palate and the way he eats.

Anyways I'm just thinking about them knowing everything about each other and getting to bask in the feeling of being truly seen and known for the first time.
