Since you like many ships, what are your FAVORITE ships on SH and what was the moment you knew you shipped each one?
oh my goodness this is such a loaded question. I do like so many ships. I am a HUGE multishipper. Chances are even if I don’t personally ship it I’ve at least considered it in passing,
We’ll start with the obvious: Malec. I actually started watching the show after the wedding episode. My roommate had read some of the books and watched the series, and one day I came home and she was watching the wedding episode and I was immediately hooked. They had that scene in Magnus’ apartment and I was like “PLEASE TELL ME THEY’RE A THING” because I was sold immediately. How can you not be? Even without knowing anything that brought us up to that moment, the chemistry between them was undeniable and I was 100% sold.
Another big favorite of mine is Jimon. There were little things along the way, moments between them that made me go ‘yes, these two, please interact more’, like in 2x7 when Jace was ‘teaching’ Simon how to flirt. OOF. But the moment that really, seriously did me in was on the rooftop at the end of 3A, with Jace and Simon both mourning the loss of Clary, both feeling that guilt, and trying their best to sort of be there for each other while they’re both also breaking at the same time. I had a LOT of hiatus headcanons of Clary being gone longer, and the two of them really learning to lean on each other, and bonding, and it was all over from there.
I’m also extremely here for Saphael. I’m not sure when the moment was it happened, this one was more of a gradual thing than an ‘ah-ha’ moment. But Raphael putting himself on the line to let Simon go? Simon consistently going back to Raphael even when he pushes him away? It’s a great back-and-forth that could’ve been played with a lot more in canon.
Also: Clizzy. Clary and Izzy just have the best interactions, every moment they’re together is fun and borderline flirty and while they play it off as ‘oh nbd that’s just Izzy’s personality’ I always thought the two of them would be such a good balance to one another. I don’t write them as much because I write male characters so much easier for some reason? But I love them to bits and ship them so hard. Honestly it was probably from the moment they had that ‘everything’s your color!’ exchange.
I was going to stop there but gotta give a shoutout to Reyhill, sneaking in at the very end. Obviously there’s just the one moment but it was p l e n t y to make me dive headfirst into ‘yes there is potential here and it is GREAT’ land with the two of them. It was just a crackship thing at first with the speculation, but when it was confirmed it was something new and fun even with the end of new content to play with, which might be one of the reasons I got behind it so much when it happened.

HONORABLE MENTIONS FROM FANDOM: because these don’t have canon moments that made me ship them, but rather things from fics and gifsets and random ramblings on Tumblr that made me either love the dynamic between the characters or the romantic potential despite there being little to no canon moments to back it up.
RJS (Raphael/Jace/Simon): I mean, I love Jimon, and I love Saphael, and the idea of Simon being a connector that brings those two very opposing personalities together into something grudgingly adorable? I’m here for it.
Izzy/Lydia: the dynamic these two have together? talk about POWER COUPLE. Imagine these two running anything together, from a mission to an Institute? oof.
Ragnor/Raphael: This started last October when it was a pairing request while I was writing my Flufftober prompts. The moment I wrote it I absolutely l o v e d the idea of these two together. They fit so well, especially if you’re pulling from book history which I definitely do with them. <3
