20. What is something you wish more people noticed about this fic?

Is it cheating to say I wish more people noticed the fic in general? I have always been alarmingly fond of it, but it's one of my nichiest niche AUs, f!Codywan as astronauts on the ISS. still, I'd rather be nine people's favorite thing than 100 people's ninth favorite thing, etc etc.

Maybe the descriptive language though? I love the way Cody compares Obi-Wan to a thunderstorm, and the way they orbit each other while they orbit the earth, gravity holding them fast both together and apart. The bit about the food they miss is sort of goofy, and I might do that differently if I were going to write it again. But I am particularly proud of the cosmic metaphors.

Something very disturbing from an influential part of this fandom was just shared with me: the assertion that if Harry and Louis broke up, there would be no need for Louis to continue “dating” Eleanor or for BG to continue. This from a blogger who has in the past vigorously (and correctly, it has to be said) defended the rights of closeted people to decide for themselves when they come out.

But somehow Louis doesn’t deserve that same consideration? It’s unthinkable that Louis might need to/want to stay in the closet for the time being for his own reasons? Protecting Harry/Larry is the single acceptable reason for Louis to still be in the closet? And if they broke up, then Louis should have come out immediately after?

I’m sorry, but I find this to be extremely troubling. EXTREMELY. And yet another giant flashing neon light highlighting that there is a large part of this fandom that doesn’t consider Louis an individual with his own needs and rights, but rather a cog in the wheel of Larry.

Or have I misunderstood the post?
