feels a bit surreal to see this huge re-surgence of Ocarina of Time discussions and talks and memes and old art...
because OoT, MM and WW were really "MY time"
i remember talking about that a while ago to my friends, just how I could feel a bit of a disconnect the last few cons i went to. Not in a bad way, just i can't relate anymore to the huge "generality" to the new shows and new games, if that makes sense
Like back then, the "norm" used to be Naruto and if there were any Zelda, it was specifically OoT Link. Then it slowly became Twilight, then almost only BOTW after it's success
When i started to go to cons back in 2012, Naruto and Zelda OoT/ MM/ WW were mega popular and it was the standard. I guess it was the first time i experiened all that so it marked me forever
Nonethless, it's amazing to see how far cons and fandoms have come although i can't help but longing how things used to be. I agree with so many ppl saying online isn't what it used to be anymore
which is alos understandable, things change and evolve, not always for the best tho XD but what can you do... I did was more hopefuly back then and never thought we would be in a shithole like this. It's just again, strange to realize I will retire too from online, idk when but i don't think i have 10 years in me, maybe another 5
I still remember watching Smosh way back then and their Zelda videos and the songs and raps hahaa PBG, Dashie and of course, Game Grumps, my love and forever babes... I will cry when Arin and Dan retire at this point their figure has been with me almost 11 years of my life and they provided such interesting and deep and important advices despite all the stupid things they did. I can't lie it helped me in many parts of my life and help me shape who i am in some ways
it's just funny how this era is over since a long time ago, yet here's another window
Again, it's just strange to feel the passage of time...
