Despite being very timid, and looking like he could break at any moment, it was rare for the boy to cry since he learned tears did nothing but obscure his vision in a battle against Risen, or an opposing foe. So, when he finally broke down, it came as a surprise to him, and caused some confusion. When had he cried the last time? Seemed like years, and it probably had been, since he couldn’t remember outside of being very young, perhaps when his mother had been killed had been the last time (though he was a crybaby before then).
Daisen thought he’d been alone when the sudden tears came out, and then he started sobbing and shaking. He tried his best to be quiet, as to not alarm any of the Shepherds and hoped it would go away soon. He didn’t want anyone to see him this weak, not even his mother.
When he heard someone though, the boy jumped and his eyes widened, vision blurred with tears. Out of all people, why had it been Roxanne to see him like this? He wanted to make a good impression on her and Robin, to prove he could be a great tactician like them, but… here he was, sobbing uncontrollably, unable to say anything due to the swelling of his throat. So he just looked away and tried wiping off his face, even though it was no good, as more replaced the tears he got off his face.
