my university has an event for sexual assault awareness month and they keep advertising that theyre getting a speaker who "used to be a lesbian" but "is straight now and has a family" and like. i STILL get people telling me to get involved with my campus's LGBT center as if i, a current lesbian, have anything to gain from talking to these people
