Neither of the movies really does Molly justice, though Red Dragon treats her infinitely better than Manhunter. I’d actually even argue that, as wonderful as Jodie Foster and SotL are, the SotL movie didn’t entirely capture how awesome Clarice is.
And here is where I most likely get more people disliking me by saying I didn't find Clarice interesting either...
And it's not an issue of them both being women, I just don't find them interesting as characters. I love Bev, I love Margot, I thought Miriam was cool but not particularly necessary either, (another unpopular opinion) not a huge fan of Bedelia either. They are great, but they're not characters that I love.
Like I sai d,I am so open to seeing the show and seeing where they take this and how they go about it, but I am just not throwing a party over it :)
