Todd would always be cold. But he wouldn't want to admit it. So he would stand there shivering and chattering his teeth until Neil gave him his scarf. Todd would protest at first, but Neil wouldn't let him.
-Neil would ALWAYS notice when Todd was feeling down. But he also knows that if he pushes him to talk, he'll only make things worse. So he just says nothing and gives him a hug.
-Neil would always put little notes in Todd's books. The notes say things like, "Don't forget to eat" or "Don't stress yourself out." Todd loves these notes and thanks him for them every evening.
-Because of the thing with the food. I think Todd is often so tense and stressed that he forgets to eat. Sometimes he gets dizzy and Neil takes care of him. That's why Neil makes sure Todd always eats enough.
-Sometimes Todd tells Neil things about his childhood. Like the thing with the five-ninety-eight. He also tells him that his parents sometimes forget his birthday. Neil usually starts crying, which makes Todd uncomfortable because he thinks it should be the other way around. And he feels bad for making Neil cry.
-While we're on the subject of feeling bad, Todd apologizes for EVERYTHING. Neil gets frustrated with this, and then Todd apologizes even more. He apologizes when he's sick. When he drops a pen or when he cries. Neil reassures him every time.
