A life that eats and eats and eats and crunches your bones but leaves your heart
in private, though, he remains a tender and devoted lover
Yet another one of my Awakening doodles. Also omg my post with Velanna and Sigrun kinda blew up I was not ready for that mentally sdahgfhgf
Anyway here's my favourite terrorist before they took away his cat
refugees in darktown know-- to find the healer, look for the lit lantern.
Seeing Anders before he's truly radicalized is so fucking weird man. Like we just talked to Wynne (who I thought was going to Tevinter with Shale btw??) and the way he was so against the Libertarians wanting to break away from the chantry was so strange. Meanwhile he still disapproves if I accept the quest to find the blood mages in Amaranthine even though they're apparently dangerous, and he wants to destroy his own phylactery.
And then he starts talking about how unfair the way mages are treated is later on and laughs when Amell agrees because of course he'd agree, they're both mages. He's very silly but he's also really interesting because it's clear he isn't happy with the way things are, but when people try to change them, he backs down. Like he knows mages resisting is just going to make people treat them worse and he doesn't see a future where that resistance succeeds.
And then you meet him in DA2 and he's merged with Justice at that point, who is a spirit and doesn't look at things in that more complex way that a mortal mind does. Justice sees people suffering and wants to help, consequences for Anders and everyone else be damned, and as he becomes an actual part of Anders and things get worse and worse in Kirkwall, the human side of him starts thinking in the same way. Anything for the cause, even his own life, even the lives of others, because for the spirit, the ends justify the means, and the spirit is irrevocably bound to Anders.
remember when i said what if my rook is anders desperate to find solas and beat a way to rescue hawke from the fade out of him because yeah. anyway
