a gift for @andersxragnulf,
“Okay, so how are we feeling after our little experiment?” Brash and calloused words escape Nicolas, paired with that knavish grin he always sported. Ignorance was bliss, and he was desperately attempting to avoid just how anguished and grief stricken he felt over the First’s death. The Jackal was almost envious of Lucretia, for having stepped forward and stolen the divinity for herself, but there was wrath there, vengeance; the death of the First inherently wrong. He attempted to shoo the feelings away, ignore them completely, and the Wayward was certainly a step in the right direction. They’d celebrated that very night but considering Mercuralia and the Knossos fuckery he’d lost track of his lycan; it’d be nice to know that he didn’t get almost eaten (derogatory, not affectionate in this case) for nothing.
