Some of you may remember my old food blog I started way back in 2007 - Cook it like Kyle. At the time, andhecooks.com was taken, and I was a sad panda. I wrote for awhile and eventually got bored as despite my insane passion for food, the technology at the time made high quality photos on the go pretty much impossible. Fuck yeah, iPhone!
Now, I'm back. With the domain I want, renewed drive to offend people and a distended stomach, I'm hungry to get back on the scene.
I went away traveling last year so I've got a buttload of catch-up to do describing the culinary miracles and atrocities I've encountered. I've also got a ton of new culinary tricks up my sleeve, and tons of places I love in Vancouver to sing praises to. Also lots I've not been to yet... I'm looking forward to drunken tumblring from my phone! What a treat for you!
Here's the ultimate question - Vancouver needs another food blog like a hole in the head - how am I going to be any different from the rest?
Honestly, I think too many people play food blogs too safe. They are afraid to offend, don't embrace their emotions, and really lack appropriate conveyance of passion. I, on the other hand, will go totally overboard and probably maintain about 3 consistent readers.
