Imagine being under the mistletoe with the HPHM Crew

Penny: looks up excitedly at the mistletoe, Making MC already start to blush. Only to dash all their hopes by happily reciting all the uses of mistletoe berries for potions and asking MC to stand still while she climbs up on them to reach it.

*✭˚･ﾟ✧*･ﾟ*✭˚･ﾟ✧*･ﾟ* *✭˚･ﾟ✧*･ﾟ*✭˚･ﾟ

Andre: the moment he sees the mistletoe, he goes off on a rant about how purple should be a Christmas color and not just red and green and that Christmas sweaters were Azkaban-worthy ugly and-... MC walks off before he could finish

*✭˚･ﾟ✧*･ﾟ*✭˚･ﾟ✧*･ﾟ* *✭˚･ﾟ✧*･ﾟ*✭˚･ﾟ

Ben: instantly ducks when MC shyly points up at the mistletoe, thinking it’s something else. When he sees it’s only the ornament, he begins to calm down, only to remember what being under a mistletoe meant and instantly freaking out all over again, leaving MC standing there as he runs away

*✭˚･ﾟ✧*･ﾟ*✭˚･ﾟ✧*･ﾟ* *✭˚･ﾟ✧*･ﾟ*✭˚･ﾟ

Barnaby: sees MC looking up at the mistletoe and immediately reaches for it, , thinking they wanted the thing. When MC doesn’t take it from him, he puts it back up, only to see MC make a weird face about that as well. In a state of confusion he throws the whole mistletoe into the fireplace and heaves a sigh of relief while MC watches their chance of romance burn

Tonks: makes jokes about offering to turn into the person MC wants to kiss the most, Only to shut up after MC admits that that person was already her. In a state of fluster, accidentally changes into a mixture of Snape and Filch, effectively scaring MC and everyone else in the room

*✭˚･ﾟ✧*･ﾟ*✭˚･ﾟ✧*･ﾟ* *✭˚･ﾟ✧*･ﾟ*✭˚･ﾟ

Badeea: gets excited when seeing the mistletoe, only to run off and grab some random student, putting them under with MC, and taking out her painting set. She tells them to stay still as she works while MC stands there in shock and disappointment

Liz: wonders if the mistletoe was extracted properly in a creature-friendly manner, asks MC to give her a boost while she climbs up and examines it . MC sadly holds her up while contemplating their choice of crushes

Bill: quickly takes down the ornament and rants about all the annoying trouble it would cause, before dragging MC with him as he collects every single mistletoe in the school and making a very disappointed MC carry them along in a box he said he’d burn later along with MC’s expectations

Jae: sees the mistletoe and gestures for MC to come closer, blushing, MC obliges. Only for Jae to ask them how much they think people would pay to have him somehow get their crushes under the mistletoe with them and as the business man makes his evil plan, MC sighs in disappointed acceptance

Tulip: the moment she notices her and MC are under a mistletoe, tackles MC and drags them away. Admits she’s replaced all the mistletoes’ berries with dungbombs that were about to go off anytime soon as MC aches all over from the tackle and sadness

Talbott: stops dead when he notices the situation, suddenly points at something behind MC and when they turn to look, turns into a hawk and flies out the window, leaving MC all alone with their disappointment

Rowan: excitedly shares with MC how bird droppings are one of the main causes for mistletoe growing on trees and how poisonous different types of mistletoe are to humans and some animals and how the name basically means ‘poo stick’ and ...MC is effectively discouraged from doing any snogging under the damn plant

Diego: actually respects the rules of the mistletoe strictly and stands under the mistletoe waiting for MC... only to have EVERY other friend of MC come up to him unaware of the mistletoe and try to chat....by the time MC gets to him, he’s traumatized after kissing so many of their friends and can’t bring himself to kiss anyone else that day

Charlie: before MC could even react to being under it with him, he grabs its and other mistletoes in the room and drags MC to the lake. MC stands there in begrudging enjoyment and disappointment as they and Charlie feed the berries to the giant squid

The HPHM Crew’s New Years resolutions ... but not really

Charlie: I promise to minimize my dragon talk...probably at the same amount as Snape insults MC

Ben: I swear I will try to be less afraid...oh dear now I’m scared I won’t be able to keep my word

Liz: I will try to lessen the way I guilt all of you whenever you eat murdered, innocent, had their whole lives ahead of them animals at the dinner table

Andre: I promise to be nicer about my friends’ terribly appalling fashion senses

Bill: I will try my best to relax sometimes and not over study for my NEWTs. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m revising years 1-3.

Jae: I will control my illegal items sales pitching to people, even though my prices are cheap! Cheap! CHEAP!

Tulip: I promise to stop pranking my friends so much, ...the dungbomb Exploding in MC’s bag right now does NOT count!

Rowan: I resolve to be less of a know it all, which is very interesting because the term know it all was actually coined when ....

Diego: I’ll behave and stop flirting so much with MC...even though they’re looking as radiant as a single flower blooming in the depths of winter, melting my heart

Penny: I promise to be more relaxed with the constant potions making...anyway hand me that murtlap tentacle please, it’s about ready to go in the cauldron

Tonks: I’ll try to stop transforming into other people so much. What do you mean I’m doing it right now? this is how I normally look, my original face just happens to be similar to Rakepick’s

Badeea: I will control my desire to paint everything ...now stop moving, I want to get your shoelace right

Talbott: I’ll be more open to friendly interactions and physical closeness and .... *flies higher and higher until he disappears into the sky*

Barnaby: I want to be more calm about my liking for magical creatures...even though they’re the most wonderful, cutest, precious beings in the world.

The HPHM Crew reacting to fireworks (a very late New Years post)

Barnaby: screaming incoherent things excitedly the whole time, until the fireworks pause and you finally hear what he’s saying and it’s just “BLOODY HELL I AM ACTUALLY SO SCARED I HOPE THEY DON’T HEAR ME AAAAAAAH!”

Tulip: cheering at the top of her lungs only to realize she’s screaming about wishing for the fireworks to set fire to the castle grounds or singeing people’s hair

Tonks: somehow got a hold of Mrs Norris and just holds the panicking cat up to the fireworks, lion king style, and relishing how scared it is while she laughs in glee

Badeea: enjoys it for a second before quickly grabbing her art supplies and attempting to paint them, only to scold the fireworks when they end too abruptly before she finishes

Talbott: quietly watches it with a small smile on his face, until MC notices and comments about it. Instantly making him blurt out how the sparks look similar to the spells shooting about during the death eaters attack on his home...successfully ruining the mood for everyone

Jae: pops up behind people enjoying the fireworks and offering them deals and sales pitches on how he can acquire the same fireworks for them for a cheaper price, eventually accidentally pitching to Mcgonagall who immediately gives him another week with Pitts

Penny: smiles serenely at the fireworks, and when MC asks if she’s enjoying herself, she cheerfully replies how they remind her of the explosions that happen when others, not her of course, make a potion wrong

Andre: Cheers like Ravenclaw just won the quidditch cup every time a blue or purple firework explodes, Boo’s whenever an orange one comes up though

Rowan: starts to recite the history of firworks until someone stops them, only to switch to sharing how fireworks are made and when they get stopped again, goes on to telling each and every fireworks’ origin and magical composition

Charlie: keeps excitedly shouting about how he can see the fireworks making different shapes of dragon species in the sparks, only to be reminded by a flat-toned Bill that the fireworks were just standard Peony shapes and that he would talk to mum about getting Charlie some glasses...or a dragon intervention

Diego: constantly using firworks based pick up lines to MC like “you shine brighter than a sparkler” or “my heart explodes whenever I see you” and “me and firworks have more than just looking fabulous in common, we also both are good at bangi-!” ... realizes MC was unable to hear any of it the whole time over the explosions

Liz: watches it along with everyone in enjoyment...while simultaneously hiding tulip’s scared toad in her coat, covering a whimpering Fang’s ears, hugging her shaking pet crup and patting Barnaby’s head

Ben: Keeps telling MC how beautiful the fireworks are and wow that one was really bright and oooh it’s shaped like a heart! Only for MC to turn around and find a cowering Ben with both his eyes closed and hands over his ears the whole time

Bill: tries his best to enjoy the fireworks...only to be forced to stop certain troublemakers from adding their own explosions to the bunch, holding the hands of certain scared friends to reassure them, stopping a certain vaults obsessed person from sneaking off to investigate while everyone’s distracted, stopping a certain dragon obsessed person from touching sparks that reminded him of dragon fire, scolding a certain nerd for talking about the dangers of fireworks near previously mentioned scared friends, telling off a certain smuggler for trying to sell fireworks to previously mentioned troublemakers, preventing a certain Hufflepuff from annoying the girls, preventing another Hufflepuff from making a potion explosion that can match a firework, and yelling at a certain group of friends that he just wants ONE night where they all behave, ONE NIGHT!

Hope everyone’s having an okay->great 2019 so far. Sorry I’ve been away, I’ve been working because holiday pay is some good 💰💰 but I’m sort of back now (uni is starting again though)
