The HPHM Crew reacting to fireworks (a very late New Years post)
Barnaby: screaming incoherent things excitedly the whole time, until the fireworks pause and you finally hear what he’s saying and it’s just “BLOODY HELL I AM ACTUALLY SO SCARED I HOPE THEY DON’T HEAR ME AAAAAAAH!”
Tulip: cheering at the top of her lungs only to realize she’s screaming about wishing for the fireworks to set fire to the castle grounds or singeing people’s hair
Tonks: somehow got a hold of Mrs Norris and just holds the panicking cat up to the fireworks, lion king style, and relishing how scared it is while she laughs in glee
Badeea: enjoys it for a second before quickly grabbing her art supplies and attempting to paint them, only to scold the fireworks when they end too abruptly before she finishes
Talbott: quietly watches it with a small smile on his face, until MC notices and comments about it. Instantly making him blurt out how the sparks look similar to the spells shooting about during the death eaters attack on his home...successfully ruining the mood for everyone
Jae: pops up behind people enjoying the fireworks and offering them deals and sales pitches on how he can acquire the same fireworks for them for a cheaper price, eventually accidentally pitching to Mcgonagall who immediately gives him another week with Pitts
Penny: smiles serenely at the fireworks, and when MC asks if she’s enjoying herself, she cheerfully replies how they remind her of the explosions that happen when others, not her of course, make a potion wrong
Andre: Cheers like Ravenclaw just won the quidditch cup every time a blue or purple firework explodes, Boo’s whenever an orange one comes up though
Rowan: starts to recite the history of firworks until someone stops them, only to switch to sharing how fireworks are made and when they get stopped again, goes on to telling each and every fireworks’ origin and magical composition
Charlie: keeps excitedly shouting about how he can see the fireworks making different shapes of dragon species in the sparks, only to be reminded by a flat-toned Bill that the fireworks were just standard Peony shapes and that he would talk to mum about getting Charlie some glasses...or a dragon intervention
Diego: constantly using firworks based pick up lines to MC like “you shine brighter than a sparkler” or “my heart explodes whenever I see you” and “me and firworks have more than just looking fabulous in common, we also both are good at bangi-!” ... realizes MC was unable to hear any of it the whole time over the explosions
Liz: watches it along with everyone in enjoyment...while simultaneously hiding tulip’s scared toad in her coat, covering a whimpering Fang’s ears, hugging her shaking pet crup and patting Barnaby’s head
Ben: Keeps telling MC how beautiful the fireworks are and wow that one was really bright and oooh it’s shaped like a heart! Only for MC to turn around and find a cowering Ben with both his eyes closed and hands over his ears the whole time
Bill: tries his best to enjoy the fireworks...only to be forced to stop certain troublemakers from adding their own explosions to the bunch, holding the hands of certain scared friends to reassure them, stopping a certain vaults obsessed person from sneaking off to investigate while everyone’s distracted, stopping a certain dragon obsessed person from touching sparks that reminded him of dragon fire, scolding a certain nerd for talking about the dangers of fireworks near previously mentioned scared friends, telling off a certain smuggler for trying to sell fireworks to previously mentioned troublemakers, preventing a certain Hufflepuff from annoying the girls, preventing another Hufflepuff from making a potion explosion that can match a firework, and yelling at a certain group of friends that he just wants ONE night where they all behave, ONE NIGHT!
Hope everyone’s having an okay->great 2019 so far. Sorry I’ve been away, I’ve been working because holiday pay is some good 💰💰 but I’m sort of back now (uni is starting again though)
