I had heard about @galeriekoenig, but never had the chance to visit before. But what a discovery indeed! Of course the very special walls of the gallery play a huge part in that djscovery: the gallery is located in a former church (that looks more like a prison from the outside) in a neighborhood where you would not suspect such a surprising and interesting gallery! @johankoenig and his wife have done a really real job in creating this space in the former St Agnes church in Berlin. I had the chance to see the last days of @andreasachmitten first solo show, Sesshaft, in the impressive nave of the former church. His monumental sculptures reminded me Duchamps urinoir and I loved the contrast with the white, very soft pprcellaine and the pastel colours and the very rough walls of the space.
