Silly old me
when: evening, March 2019 – flashback where: the Last Drop with: @andrewsbrewer
Winter was on its last legs, snow thawing beneath the steady heat of the spring sun – but evenings were still on the colder side, and tourist season hadn’t really started out on the trails yet. It was business as usual, for Mar: perched by the bar in black jeans and a black sweater, hand around a tumbler-glass, amber swirling over ice.
She could feel it, the way she always did – the double-edged sting of March, the wound of it never healing quite right. Always the call of the mountains, and always the call of a life she would never have. Eight years in Blackrock, this March. Two more and it would be a decade in a town she’d never thought she’d stay in, when she first got there; eight years on her own in Dante’s home. She’d looked for Sam, when she’d gotten to the bar, and then she’d chickened out of texting him. It was easier to just sip her whiskey and make occasional polite small talk with the bartender, just enough to avoid any other old-timers deciding to take a chance at talking to her.
So.
Business as usual.
–– And then an unfamiliar face sat down next to her by the bar, eyes blue like the summer sky she found herself howling for.
It was the hint of a drawl that truly drew her in, though; that cinched the way memories bit at her.
“… You’re a long way from home,” she said, a hint of a drawl to compliment his; full lips caught in a smile. “Unless you’ve moved here, in which case – welcome to Blackrock.”
Thank you, Forsty, the bro man of being a part of my life

Celine wasn’t entirely sure what to expect at a family Christmas party. Usually, Celine didn't celebrate Christmas. Eid al-Fitr was bigger in her world. However, she did the fun things leading up to the holiday, gift exchanges, coco, baking, decorating, ice skating and all that winter wonderland jazz. But the actual day was usually spent with take out from some Chinese place that was open and watching Netflix. But this year she was invited to Bridget's family Christmas dinner to act as a buffer and emotional support for her roommate and friend. After the things Bridget had told her, she knew it was probably going to be tense. So, she found herself at the Primrose grocery store buying something nice to take as an ice breaker. Fancy red and green cookies were traditional for a Christmas holiday dinner, right? Just as she was headed towards the checkout, she watched as a container of baking soda dropped out of the man's basket in front of her. "Oh, hey! You dropped this!" She alerted him and bent down to pick up the ingredient.
Bestfriends and IHOP || Andrew.
Kristen climbed out of bed and walked over to her closet and picked out her clothes for the day. She was going to get something to eat with Andrew, he was her bestfriend and they never hung out. She put on her shorts and white v-neck than grabbed her nike trainers and put them on. She texted Andrew letting him know she was on her way. She fed her cat and headed out. She got in her car and drove to Andrew's as the radio played softly in the back ground. She pulled up to his house and got out and went to knock on the door. She waited patiently for someone to answer the door.
