It’s Crazy4Cult opening night at @galleries1988 and here’s the full Point Break map, “Paths of the Break”. I was encouraged to map this one by @jawilmesjr years ago - and he was right. After 50 watches, I declare Kathryn Bigelow’s Point Break to be both fantastic filmmaking and quite underrated. I thought I’d utilize a blue ground for the water scenes since it’s such a recurring theme. Very psyched to show my contribution to @spoke_art ‘s “Apartment 5A: A Tribute to Seinfeld” Show at @parasolprojects which opens tonight fearing the S8 E19: “The Yada Yada”. The piece maps the twelve significant instances of Yadayada-ing in that masterful piece of nothing. A bit of the visual backstory for the Cinemaps cover. I had completely forgotten about my initial ideas (bottom) and how we walked it towards what it came to be, which is about 90% gouache with some digital finagling. A very, very fun project.
