Floral Inconvenience | Alice & Andrew
It was about an hour from closing time at Priceless Florals. Alice wasn’t quite ready to begin clean up yet, so she was lounging in her chair behind the counter, reading a People’s Magazine. There was an article abut cyber stalking that caught her eye.
The rain was already falling outside, but Alice didn’t care much. She was going to go home at 9 pm no matter what. Thunder shook as she had this thought, but she pushed the idea of having to stay late out of her mind anyway.
The bell of the entrance rang and Alice sat up straight. “Welcome to Priceless Florals!” She began. “Are you here to buy flowers for the rain gods so that they’ll lift up on this god-awful storm?” She smiled brightly at the man in front of her.
