InuKag + scifi
“There,” Inuyasha murmured as he finished drilling in the last screw, securing the metal plate covered with synthetic skin - it still sorta creeped him out but he was used it to now - that protected the wires, gears, and software that made up the android he’d found tossed carelessly into a back alley.
This model, called Kagome if he wasn’t mistaken, had needed a software upgrade and some new parts, but Inuyasha figured he’d be able to fix her up right quick and had taken her back to his place to spruce up; he’d always like tinkering and he was fascinated by these things so he figured why the hell not.
Inuyasha stepped back and there was a few seconds where nothing happened when suddenly the droid’s chest lit up, signifying he’d successfully fixed whatever the problem had been, and a moment later her eyes flipped open but instead of the dull gray he was expecting - like any other android out there - twin pools of brilliant sapphire blue gazed back at him and it was in that moment that Inuyasha realized he’d managed to find the only Kagome android in the world that was self-aware.
