I bought a PS4 due to all of the upcoming exclusives I’m dying to play. Detroit Become Human was one of my first purchases. As a fan of Heavy Rain I felt like I knew what I was getting into. But goddamn was I wrong. I thought Far Cry 5 left me distraught, but Detroit is a whole other level.

A Stormy Night was, quite frankly, triggering for me. I’ve never suffered that kind of abuse, but I knew I had to save Alice. I was prepared to sacrifice Kara for it too. And every step of the way into Alice’s room I was waiting for Todd to come barreling down the hallway and I was so fucking terrified. Then I somehow manage to incapacitate Todd even though my hands were shaking. But that wasn’t even the end of it. I still had to unlock the front door and barely breathed until Kara and Alice were safely on that bus. 

Now I’m going to have anxiety the entire game that Todd is going to show up. I should have killed him. 

And I’m pretty sure Markus is going to have to defend Carl from his piece of shit son and I can’t deal with that so I took a break and wrote this post.
