Silksong missing a bug? A… moth spider perhaps?
AoI spoilers (kinda)
so if just a shard of the master sword can be a conduit of the hero's spirit, and pure light magic can get it to regrow completely, is the master sword like a worm? can it reproduce asexually if it gets shattered and thats how we get so many slightly different master swords throughout the series... something to consider...
Also if the spirit in the sword is more Link than Fi, does that mean the master sword contains the heros spirit in some way? anyway the knight construct really fuels my sage of spirit link agenda
Seeing the sages faces for the first time is fucking crazy, the character design is so good, they’re finally making the races in hyrule look different instead of just slightly recolored clones
Okay I am taking my first break from AoI since I got it only like 4-5 hours ago and my non-spoilery thought is that I’m so glad they’re continuing the Zelda trend for having banger music and also I’m feeling less and less bad about crimes against Koroks, I think we should explode them more actually
Spoilery thought below
I wonder if I can beat bongo bongo with two hearts and no healing items
so earlier today i got through the entire water temple in oot and as a whole, it isn't that bad. It had an interesting gimmick and relitively chill enemies, i was happy to hit dark link with a hammer over and over again. the fucking whirlpool path and the final boss though... truthfully I've had a harder time with other bosses in other games (I went for Vah Naboris on my first playthrough of botw which was AGONY) but Link's slippy slidey feet with the iron boots and the ancient targeting system and camera that was constantly fucking me over was driving me insane. I don't like that the final boss took forever to get through it's cutscenes and didn't just punish you with health damage during the Grabbing portion, but just left you sitting there while it waved Link around like a well-shaken cocktail for way too long. not to mention the spike incline before you even got there GOD.
Anyway, the water temple wasn't that bad, I only needed a walkthrough once and that's pretty good for me tbh.
Most people hate Navi bc she’s annoying, I hate her bc she’s unhelpful and can’t fucking target anything
I keep forgetting to liveblog the games that I'm playing, so just FYI I finished Link's Awakening and am most of the way through Echos of Wisdom and my thoughts can be summarized by the following:
-Links falling, drowning, pushing, and general Sounds were very entertaining for spectators (my mother etc.) and the disappointment was palpable when I got the zora flippers.
-I only really felt things in the final anime cutscene, otherwise I wasn't super into the story. The music was fun, though. Sometimes I went to the animal village to vibe.
-Zelda definitely has a thing for Dohna and vice versa, there is Some Lesbianism happening here. They're both princesses, it's meant to be.
-Link is haunting the narrative, it's so interesting how he clearly had a whole quest before this and he met so many people and did so many things and he just passed the torch to Zelda. I like his tragic backstory. I like that you can tell he was loved and everyone is worried about him being gone for so long.
-The smoothies look really good, especially the mango ones. I got so tired of not being able to keep food in my pocket in LA. It is a little funny that the best smoothie you can make is just... milk and salt. which is Gross.
-Finally, a game that is nice about cats, I'm so tired of the narrative that cats are mean or evil or whatever. These cats are full of love and sleepiness, which is much more realistic.
