It took some time and a hard voice box reset before she called @animatronic-assistant.

Andromeda was huffing, her fans whirring loudly enough to a near buzzing sound that sounded like one was on the verge of overheating. Steam puffed out behind her faceplate in angry clouds as she paced back and forth between the house of the outside bench, far too wound up to sit down.

She had to make sure Elara was fine with her own audials.

Elena's AI is Andromeda's base AI plus Monty's base AI fused together :)

Which puts a lot of stuff into perspective and makes things make sense

He's had a few days to process everything... And Titan can firmly say that he was...angry. Bitter.

It left a bad taste in his mouth.

His brows furrowed as he went over that phone call Andromeda left him with, going over her words. Granted, he had left her out of things before and she had every right to feel her feelings -- but something in him felt indignant.

She has no idea what really happened. What he's been dealing with. She has no idea the mental scars Skol left on him, his kids and Elara. If she wanted to know so badly...

Titan exhaled, steeling himself as he got up from his bed. He was completely silent as he placed his boots on and put on the black scarf that Sirius insisted he wear when going outside. Titan didn't mind it...he kind of liked the yellow star symbols that decorated the ends. He let it rest around his neck loosely, tossing one end over a shoulder to keep it from slipping off.

Titan kept to himself as he left, his brooding silence an indication that he wasn't in the mood to speak yet to anyone. Besides, he was saving his energy for something else...

He was willing to risk Blem's ire for approaching their house. He stared at the security camera, the look in his optics exhausted.

Drained.

Emotionally vacant.

Titan promptly ignored the camera and placed one hand in his pocket while the other was used to gently knock on the door with a knuckle twice.

He could hear Andromeda's voice chime pleasantly about getting the door - her pawed feet pittering against the floor.

It was a strange sensation of numbness that crossed with a small itch of his code that responded to the sound of her voice. It was like Titan could feel everything and yet nothing at the same time. He already came to an understanding what this emotion is:

He still has love for her...

But he's finally... finally...found out how Andromeda does it: She ignores it. That's something Titan can do. Especially for his partners. For her. And for himself.

Guess being angry at her helps, too.

As the door swung open, Andromeda's cheerful smile faltered to a stunned stare. Her rays immediately wilted against her faceplate as she stared at Titan with wide eyes. She hadn't expected to see him so soon. Apprehension gripped her with a frozen hand, leaving her feeling cold and slightly afraid. She wasn't ready for this confrontation! The look on Titan's face is what frightened her the most -- he looked terrible.

Oh what...what has she done to him?

Titan...

She started, but her voice box died with a soft, startled, buzz as he held up his hand in a silent request for her to stop talking. Andromeda stifled a nervous whine but waited patiently for Titan to speak.

Titan put his hand down and stuffed it into his pocket, now both hands clenched and hidden to keep his stance non-threatening.

His own voice box had a soft buzz of static to it.

Just listen to me. Please. I came to apologize...I know I have a track record of not letting you in on what's happening...but a lot more than just Elara having Skol's kids has happened.

He paused for a moment, eyeing the now fidgeting Andi.

I have had to fix you from near death. I had to fix Terry. I had to fix Elara. Twice. The second time was worse. What could have been you was a body that was ready to literally fall apart at the seams from twins that were eating her body alive. I saved her life only for a couple of months to go by and then she's on my doorstep, gutted and near death - again. And in between the fights and the near deaths and almost losing Terry's mind to Skol traumatizing him -- My partners have all been going through something. I'm their rock. The one they lean on. The one that protects them, holds them when their world feels like it's trying to close in on them. I've almost lost two of them and each time, it felt like having a piece of me being ripped apart.

He was oddly and eerily calm the entire time he spoke. His voice was low but strong. His tone is vulnerable yet there is an underlying anger that is barely simmering yet it stayed in his eyes as he stared down the now trembling and silently weeping Andromeda. He could see how her behavior the other day was just another brick to the face.

I don't know how many times I've had faceless strangers tell me what a terrible father and partner I am to my family; that I can't protect worth shit. Yet, I still carry on and tell them to eat shit because I know deep down -- I'm doing my best. I can ignore them. I can let their words roll off my back. But you?

His voicebox warbled with emotion barely contained. His brows furrowed, watching Andromeda closely as she sniffled and quickly wiped the tears off her face. She looked away, her eyes down cast. She was clearly ashamed.

Good. He thought. It was good that she felt that way. For the first time, Titan felt vindictive about that. He wanted her to feel bad. Years and years of dealing with her attitude and behavior towards him -- being an absolute BRAT to him when all he ever did was try to provide and make her happy-- Be ashamed.

I can't take it anymore from you. I've done everything for you... I made sure you were always happy and broke rules for you. I did everything I could to protect you from the humans that hurt you or that you were afraid of. I was there on the days when we only had each other. I'm happy that you have someone who loves you -- who makes you a better person. Genuinely, I am. And I'm sorry I was weak in allowing my coding to get in the way. I'm sorry I made you uncomfortable and angry.

His eyes darkened a bit as he stepped forward, looming over Andromeda. His eyes hardened and for the first time in a long time - Andromeda flinched away from Titan. She shrank a bit as he glowered at her and his voice deepened in a warning growl.

I may not have always been the best at communicating, but if you speak to me like that again, I will not be so calm about it. It was not my intention to keep information from you. I'm trying. To be. Better. But I can't do that if you don't give me a chance. Keep in mind that I have a family, too. Life has not been kind and it's only been less than a year that all of this has happened. I don't need someone I consider my closest friend to treat me like a villain.

He promptly left after he said his peace. He didn't care if she fell to the floor and began sobbing. She had a love to catch and help her. Titan had said his piece...

And for the first time in five years - he felt free....

Elara left for work earlier than normal and after changing into her holiday uniform she snuck backstage to hang out with Andromeda for a bit. She did bring blueberries cheese danishes for them to nibble on.
