Personality
Andromeda is a kind hearted individual that always tries to do the best by her loved ones, however, has herself in high esteem and will know to walk away from toxic situations.
She is a family driven person, she tried to live with the Blacks as long as she could, but her views weren’t respected nor considered, so she believed that if she wasn’t wanted as she was then she should make her own path.
Andromeda is quite stubborn, and is a bit distant at first, but after a while she warms up to people and it is more open in her relationships.

Bio
Andromeda Eladora Black was the second child of Cygnus and Druella Black. The couple was looking for an heir and after having a first born female they tried once more, failing in the task.
One couldn’t say Andromeda wasn’t wanted, she was never what you expected, not even when she came into the world. After loud and demanding Bella, Meda was more quiet and curious, making sure to get in the good graces of her mother, and to earn the love of her father. Being a little mischievous but never enough to cause the full rage of Druella.
It wasn’t long after Andromeda became an older sister. She had learnt at a young age that being a girl wasn’t as great as being a boy, that her mother wanted something more than just another person to marry of, and that her father, as much as he loved spending time with his daughters, always wanted someone to pass the family business to. That was why when Andromeda knew about Narcissa she wanted her not to feel the little cold shoulder her mother sometimes gave her, and to have as many adventures posible before having to fulfil their duty as Black family women.
Wanting to make her family proud, and doing nothing more than loved them, she tried to be the best at everything she could. She tried to learn as many languages posible to engage with her father’s business partners, and even Ghukliak to have an advantage with the Goblins. However, it didn’t matter what she did or how she did it Andromeda felt she fell short or her efforts weren’t as recognised as her sisters’.
It wasn’t long before the heirs of the family came along. Sirius and Regulus were something that everyone at the family talked about and Andromeda became more curious and protective of them. She wanted to see how these little babies could become the great Blacks everyone had been waiting for, and in the mean time she did everything to enjoy their company, and her sisters.
It might be the simple things she remembered the most, that she put her effort into, but it was the things that made her feel like they were bonding and were more than cogs in the big family plan.
Andromeda started questioning things around her. Her father business had become come complex and she had heard about this muggle technology that was swiping the magi world business and society; dividing wizards into pro integration and against it. But being raised in a deeply purist household those things were discussed in shushed voices and always to disagree with the advancements.
Hogwarts was the place that broke almost every wall that Andromeda had built around her questions and her need for answers. What was this new muggle technology that the wizards were so afraid of? Why was it that mixing with non magical people were so terrible? Why were muggle borns being disregarded as inferior when magic had chosen them for a reason amongst everyone, and it wasn’t just something passed along one generation to the other? Why was her family so against her asking the things that were burning her to know?
Her school years became something of a joy and a dread, it became the place where she met people she wouldn’t have met in the bubble her family had for her and her sisters. She interacted with people from all backgrounds and her thirst for knowledge just grew stronger.
Andromeda believed that there was more in common with wizards and muggles than people believed, of course she couldn’t voice that to her family because it was wrong to question it, but it made her start to research the beginning of magic itself and how the genetics could variate and make the magic grow stronger or weaker. She believed that with the technology and magical knowledge she would be able to find a better and more definite way to show this, to make people see that there was no need to divide the society like that. But the more she outspoke her true feelings the more alienated she was from the rest of her family, which in the end was the thing that broke her hope of being the daughter her parents would be proud to have and realised that she only needed to be proud of herself and what she believed was right to continue to live the life she desired.
The little spark that started at Hogwarts continued after Andromeda graduated and left the Black, she decided she would be a healer, that would help as many people as she could, while she investigated the genetics of different kind of magical people from all background possible, to come up with a common denominator that will end once and for all the old debate on magical division and who was “more worthy” than the other. She began to work at Mungo’s in the Emergency Room, and on her extra hours she would do her research.
Making the oath to protect people and not harm them ended up with Andromeda having a clandestine clinic, she helps the people from the Order that has been injured and can not go to Mungo’s or they will be found. She refuses to fight against the people she knows and (in spite of everything) still loves and hopes one day there won’t be a need for a position like hers.

Former friend: Someone that knew Andromeda before running away, they don’t hate her but they have lost contact since she left her family.
Ex boyfriend: Anyone that Andromeda might have been in a relationship with, maybe even betrothed.
Non pureblood supremacist friend: It doesn’t have to be a muggle born, but it can be. One friend from Andromeda’s new life. They might have been “secret” friends before but there is no need to hide any longer.
