Lasers have always fascinated the minds of men. The uses of it is just too many to be comprehensible to the human mind. We hear that even the legendary city of Atlantis had Laser Technology. So when we stumbled upon this video of a modern day Laser Art, we had to watch it in a flash – Laser flash that is

What do you think? Pretty mind-boggling stuff isn’t it? It was like some magician was using a magic wand to create it. All this happens in the blink of an eye. This particular art piece named “After Sunset” was created on site at LasX Industries Inc. on a specially designed laser art system. Andy Gikling developed the CAD file in Illustrator and then imported it directly into LasX’s “Lightguide v5″ laser control software in a PDF file format. If you were wondering, the real-time beam control is run on LasX’s “Proton” laser control platform. For starters, the first half of the video shows the Proton running the laser system in a “raster” process, while the second half of the video shows the laser running a “vector” process with a beam speed of 6 meters per second. There are upwards of 100 thousand vectors in the CAD file.
P.S. We think this kind of art is truly the art of this age! The medium of an artist is ever expanding and one is just amazed to see such precision art being created using lasers! It just makes the mind numb thinking of all the possibilities!
