After a day (ok, only 5 mins) of using the @blackmagicnewsofficial BMPCC4K with the @siruiimaging 35mm new anamorphic lens on a @gudsenmoza MOZA Air 2 gimbal on a vest, I was exhausted, my skinny tiny body can't handle it (outside the heat as well), so I keep thinking how to make a rig that can be portable as needed to bem Searched on Amazon and found the @nicerig shoulder rig package used for $70 and decided to get it. I added a pl501 quick release plate on top of the rig so I can easily remove the camera with the wireless focusing system (once you unplug the monitor cable) and it can become a hand held rig. If I want to put it on the shoulder, I just take it off the tripod and easily move to the shoulder, again using a pl501 plate under. and the 4th photo, I realized I can turn the top plate the other direction so it would be a Z shape and then it would be a bit closer to the shoulder pad to help balancing the weight a bit. Definitely I can use this setup on my shoulder for more than 5mins, and can still do focusing. The monitor is an @andycinegear new C7 ultra bright monitor, as you can see on the last photo, we were outside bright and sunny and the BMPCC4K screen already set to 100% brightness and still can't be the C7. You may say that the monitor may be on the lens' view, so far, it hasn't but if it does, then I can just adjust the monitor's position a bit and it would work. Parts used here include the Nicerig Shoulder Rig system, Moza Air quick release plate (or you can use the Small Rig PL501 release system) either one you can loosen the screw and lift the camera up and out. (quick releasing). I also added a short 15mm rod on the left side of the front rod, and then counterweight at back. Yes, you should be able to attach a v-mount based batter at the back, but for this purpose, I can easily unplug the hdmi cable and becomes hand held or move it to a gimbal. hope this helps other if trying to find something that can hold the camera longer than 10 mins for skinny 5'7" 140lb dude. :) Shout out to @sebrosius for ideas and letting me to use his vest. #andycinegear #andycinemonitor #monitor #bmpcc4K #sirui #gudsenmoza #anamorphic #35mm (at Media Design Imaging) https://www.instagram.com/p/CDwPqDrpEd3/?igshid=1rybgpds838aw
