HELLO!!! if its okay could i get kaede, celestia, ibuki and tenko with SHSL Violinist!S/O who's very self conscious about their talent? Like, they feel like they're not good enough to be an ultimate, thank you so much! mwah!
Of course!! Enjoy, love! ^^ -Mod Mikan
KAEDE
· Whenever Kaede notices you getting down about your talent, she asks you to play something for her. “Your music is just so beautiful!”
· Her eyes light up as soon as your bow touches the strings. She watches you play with a dreamy smile, and no matter how it sounds, her audience makes you feel like you’re a prodigy.
· She also discloses to you that she used to think she wasn’t worthy of her title, either! “It just didn’t feel right,” she says. “I still have so much to learn, and there have been people way more talented than me. That’s how you feel, right?”
· You nod. “But your music is incredible,” you say. “It sounds so professional and you’re so confident and comfortable.”
· Kaede laughs. “Sure, that’s how it looks on the outside,” she says, “but I struggle with self-doubt. I think every musician does whether they’re good or not, and you, S/O, are definitely good. The best I’ve ever heard!”
· You think she’s definitely exaggerating, but she looks like she truly believes it, and the next time you play, it sounds better to you than it ever has before.
CELESTIA
· Celeste has no idea you’re self-conscious about your talent until you say so. She laughs at first, thinking you’re joking, and then as she realizes you’re serious she just looks…confused.
· “But why would you doubt yourself?” she says. “I would not associate myself with people of poor talent. That would only make me look bad.”
· Honestly, you’d try not to practice around her because you’re a little afraid she would judge your skill, but to hear that she genuinely believes in your talent helps your confidence quite a bit.
· She asks you for a private concert after dinner, and at first you’re hesitant to do it since you’ve never formally played in front of her, but she talks you up so much it doesn’t even feel scary anymore.
· “A concert from you would truly make me feel like a queen,” she says. “You do not play privately for anyone else, do you? It would be so splendid to know all of your talent is focused on me.”
· So she watches intently as you play for her, and during a particularly emotional few measures you can’t be sure, but you think she has tears in her eyes.
IBUKI
· Ibuki doesn’t realize how self-conscious you are at first, either, until she eagerly suggests the two of you put on a concert together and sees you falter at the idea. She asks you what’s wrong, so you tell her.
· “WHAAAT!?” She grabs you by the shoulders. “That’s crazy! You’re the most talented person Ibuki knows! You can’t doubt yourself like that! It’s just too sad!”
· She wouldn’t force you into anything you’re not comfortable with, but she will be much more vocal about how much she loves to hear you play. It’s not even the kind of music she normally likes, but she says you’re so good that it makes up for that!
· “And and and! Even if you don’t deserve to be an ultimate, which you definitely do, the most important thing is that you love your talent, and that makes you ultimate-worthy no matter what!”
· Her hype is definitely contagious, and you find yourself getting more comfortable with your skill level the more time you spend with her.
· And when you’re finally ready to do a concert with her, she’s absolutely delighted and so proud of you! I mean, it’s a strange concert considering the way your music clashes, but you have so much fun together it doesn’t even matter!
TENKO
· She never listened to music much growing up, at least not violin music, so as much as you appreciate it, you don’t really believe her when she talks about how good you are. You know it’s probably not very fair, but self-consciousness can be a powerful thing.
· But as soon as you admit this to her, she takes it upon herself to listen to as much violin music as she could get her hands on. She asks you for recommendations first, then works her way through every other professional’s repertoire faster than you would think possible.
· She picks up the details of the music fast, and she essentially gives you an essay comparing and contrasting your music to the professionals. She tells you about the ways you incorporate all of these fancy techniques and how your sound is clearer than this person’s, and your runs are cleaner than that one’s.
· “So, it’s just like I thought before: you’re my favorite violinist!” she tells you. “I just never listened to other ones because I knew in my heart none of them would compare to you.”
· You hadn’t expected her to go through so much trouble to ease your mind about this, but it means so much that she did!
