Finally! A dream come true! I can now proudly say that I own a copy of the book that I've always wanted to have! Big thanks to my supportive friend who hand-carried this treasure all the way from Brighton to Dumaguete just to fulfill my wish. Thank you loads Diane for this gift, I promise to keep this for as long as I live!
For years, my mother would usually complain of how I casually repeat clothes and wear the same boring hues of black or grey or navy blue on a daily basis, and I would just simply answer her that those colors just represent how dark my soul is. But nope! Of course I don't see my life that way. My clothes may look soulless but I still see and live a colorful life with everyone I love in it.
Though I heavily rotate on dark tones on a daily, I still own pieces of reds and greens that I sometimes wear depending on the weather and my mood. I also have a number of whites that I prefer to wear whenever the sun decides to scare the clouds away all day.
Back then, I thought I had a very poor taste in clothing and thought that I was weird that I keep resorting to wearing the basics, and I also even thought of cleaning and clearing out pieces of clothing that I rarely wear. Clearly, for years, I've done sorts of things in organizing stuff and had various decisions that helped me improve in controlling and maintaining my things, like minimalism and the Konmari method, but I wanted more inspos.
Then one day, I stumbled upon Anna Newton's Youtube channel and got so much inspiration. Her videos have taught me so much that I became so sure of wanting a copy of her book because I know that that book will surely amplify my ideas in keeping a decluttered life.
Honestly, by now, I don't find my taste in clothing weird anymore because in the end, my happiness is what matters most.
