Pride and Prejudice? :) Love your blog, btw
1. The first character I fell in love with
Elizabeth Bennet. How can you not?
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
I have developed a weak spot for Mr Collins over the years. When I first read the book at the age of sixteen (or fifteen, I’m not entirely sure), I just thought he was annoying, but as I got older, I started to see that, in his own misconceived way, he means well (this is why I love Tom Hollander’s interpretation of the character). He’s an idiot, but kind of an endearing idiot when you think about it. Don’t judge him too harshly.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
I would go for Mr Collins again, but I think he does have his fans on Tumblr.
5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer
Mr Bennet. Don’t get me wrong, I still love him. However, now that I’m older and have more responsibilities myself, I’m starting to realize what the consequences of his actions really are, and what could happen to his daughters if he doesn’t make sure that they’re all taken care of. I mean, yes, societal conventions can be silly, but it’s all for the greater good, in this case, making sure that your daughters won’t be poor and helpless after you die.
Say what you want about Mrs Bennet (and there is a lot to be said), but she does have a point. Yes, she takes it a bit too far, but sadly, money does matter.
6. The character I would totally smooch
MR BINGLEY. He’s made of sunshine and smiles and slightly naieve puppies.
7. The character I’d want to be like
None of them, really. I would like to be a bit wittier like Elizabeth though, does that count?
8. The character I’d slap
Jane Bennet/Mr Bingley. Adorable blushing babies, I love you so!
10. A pairing that I despise
Wickham/anyone. Poor, poor Lydia.
