What does the future hold
Happy Wednesday reds nearly time for the champions league game against RB Leipzig and I'm sure we can all agree it is going to be a hard game. However today I want to focus on some of our younger players and also how some of our past players are getting on as I feel all I have spoken about is how disappointing this season is I think looking at the future of the club and reminiscing about good times of the past will give us something different to read today.
so lets start by discussing some of our younger players as its been a big season for some of them with all the injuries that the club have had this season they have been given an unexpected run in the first team in some tough games. Players such as Neco Williams and also Rhys Williams both defenders who have in my opinion played very well in the games they have played in considering the circumstances, yes they have made some mistakes but even the most experienced have bad days at the office overall for me I would say both these men get an 7-8 out of 10 from what I have seen of them so far and with the right development plan and game time they will be very good players.
One more player I need to mention is Curtis Jones who in my opinion is an amazing player for his age considering 2 seasons ago he was not getting much game time and now he is a regular player in the starting 11. Without a doubt he is a player we need to keep going forward into next season.
one player who has been loaned out this season his young Harvey Elliot who is on loan at Blackburn rovers. I personally feel this move has benefitted the young player as he has had a good impact for Blackburn by scoring 4 and assisting 8 in the last 22 games so hopefully his development keeps coming on strong and we can hopefully one day see him in the starting 11 for the mighty Liverpool .
Finally lets speak about one player we sold last year and personally I wish we still had him especially with our defensive issues this season and the player is Dejan Lovern, yes he made mistakes however overall his time with us was a success and he won his fare share of trophy's so his CV backs him up for anyone thinking of signing him. Even though he is not with us anymore he his playing well and loving his football in Zenit so I wish him all the best.
To finish up I would like to wish Jurgen Klopp and his team all the best in there last 16 champions league game this week and hopefully bring home a good result which we are still capable of doing.
until next time fans stay safe.
