can somebody please explain to me whats going on with jenna marbles? like i get that she did racist shit in the past and is apologizing, but i've personally never watched her content. i also watched her apology video but a bit of it rubbed me the wrong way/seemed to deflect but i see a lot of people on twitter saying "she apologized perfectly" but a lot of them seem to have developed a parasocial relationship with her (calling her internet mom, etc). like, i just want to understand because i have little clue as to what is different about jenna's apology that has people rushing to defend her (and in some instances i see fans say she didn't need to apologize, which i don't really agree with)
