"#the lawyer in me is ruining this b/c wow i hope you made that condition reasonable" the lawyer in you needs to write a legally accurate fake married trope tho
BUT I SHOULD
because conditions in wills are fine, SO LONG AS THEY AREN'T RIDICULOUSLY BURDENSOME. like the one example we always had in Wills and Estates class was that a condition like "you can inherit your trust, if you are married to a person of x religion" and sometimes courts will find that to be too unreasonable and burdensome.
But the best would be if you had a will stipulating like they had to be in a real marriage to prove to the probate court.
so then you get fake married WHERE THEY COME UP WITH REALLY ELABORATE BACKSTORY AND ARE JUST GONNA SELL IT SO HARD. AND YOU GOTTA SELL IT HARD B/C YOU COULD GET X FAMILY MEMBERS THAT DON'T BUY IT AND SO THEY WANT TO DISINHERIT YOU FROM THE WILL. SO IT'S GOTTA BE LEGIT FAKE MARRIED ACTING.
AND SO YOU GOTTA SELL IT
EXCEPT OOPS THEY FELL IN LOVE ACROSS THE COURSE OF THE FAKE MARRIED AND THE AGREEMENT TO SPLIT THE DEVISE NO LONGER EVEN MATTERS.
The 11 Questions Tag!
RULES!!!! Rule Number 1: Always post the rules! Rule Number 2: Answer the person who tagged you, then write 11 new ones. Rule Number 3: Tag 11 people. Rule Number 4: tell them you tagged them.
I was tagged by operationshippityship. :D
And the questions given were:
1. Do you consider yourself a shipper or do you really only relate to very few ships?
I'm definitely a shipper. Often a multi-shipper, though I usually have an over all preference. ;)
2. Do you have more than one OTP? If so, please list them!
So many OTPs. I've been involved in fandom for over 10 years now, so there's too many to list but here are a few: Captain Swan (my most recent love), Spuffy (one of my absolute favorites) LoVe, Kirk/Spock, (one of my first OTPs) Hilson, Doctor/Rose and my favorite OT3: Doctor/Rose/Jack.
And several more, but I won't list them all.
3. When was the last time you challenged yourself to do something you find difficult and what was it?
I am actually in the middle of challenging myself right now: Nanowrimo. Trying to write 50,000 words in a month. I started out pretty good at the beginning of the month but real life stuff kinda exhausted me and I ran out of steam for a while. I need to get back in it.
4. Top 5 favourite bands/musicians of all time?
Ugh. That's a hard one, since that changes a lot for me. But currently (and in no particular order):
She Wants Revenge
Something Corporate (holds a special place in my heart because of high school)
Jim Croce
Simon and Garfunkel
Regina Spektor
5. What is your favourite season?
Autumn. Though it is a little bittersweet since I absolutely hate the winter.
6. List ten things you are grateful for!
1. My sisters. We've really had to pull together the last few years and had to become each other's entire support group.
2. Zach. We've been together for 2 1/2 years, lived together for most of that and my life has definitely been better with him in it.
3. My friends. I have few very close friends who have at this point become more my family than most of my actual family.
4. Armour Thyroid. Without this medication life is definitely more difficult.
5. Netflix. Keeps boredom away.
6. Fandom. Has been a great creative outlet for me for years.
7. My laptop. It's so old, and it won't even close properly now, but it still keeps on working.
8. My space heater. I don't like the cold.
9. My job. I really hate it sometimes, but working from home has seriously helped me deal with my illness these last two years.
10. Having enough money to pay my bills. This one I have to keep reminding myself of. Money has been tight for months now, but I am able to keep paying my bills every month.
7. What was the best present you’ve ever received? (define that however you wish)
My high school graduation present was getting to go on a school trip England and France. That trip was so much fun, I really want to go back.
8. If you were limited to only one creative outlet/medium from now on, what would you choose?
That one is really hard. Um. I think writing. Even though I don't do that as often as I should anymore, it's probably the one I value you most I guess.
9. Describe your sense of humour
Sarcastic and ironic. Sometimes a little twisted and sometimes really silly.
10. Do you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert?
I'm an introvert who has moments of being an extrovert I suppose. Like, mostly I like to be alone or with a few close friends, but every now and then I am all, "Let's party! Meet new people! Dance! Talk to strangers!" That has been happening less and less though.
11. Do you still have any of your childhood toys?
Only if you count books.
-----------------------------
And my new questions:
1. First ever fandom love?
2. Are you a multi-shipper or is it strictly one OTP for you?
3. List three things you absolutely cannot live without.
4. What's your favorite holiday tradition?
5. Do you have a TV show/book etc. that you never get bored of?
6. Mountains or beach?
7. Is there something (like tv show or book or movie) that you really wanted to like, but just couldn't?
8. If you could spend an evening with any fictional character who would it be and what would you do?
9. Looking forward to anything right now?
10. What would you say is your worst habit?
11. Are you currently reading anything? If so, what?
Okay, so I haven't been on tumblr in a few days, and I have no idea who has already been tagged and has done this, so if I tag you and you already have, feel free to ignore. ;)
angearia replied to your post: Mycroft, I hope Sherlock eat you alive...
i super dislike mycroft on elementary too. super creepy gross dudebro & i kinda hate that the show has him pulling a fast one on joan like wut this is the woman who caught moriarty fuckoff mycroft. her whole damsel in distress to his 007 reveal ugh
IKR?! I hope this whole thing will keep them apart. I don't want her to date this guy! There was like 15154 better guys than him. Like, IDK, Marcus?
angearia replied to your post:The people pissing and moaning about how women and...
their constant yelling in the comments is so tired
I should know better than to read the comments but there was one right on the first page...it was huge and I couldn't miss it. But really it read like an entitled white slash fangirl sad the POC and women are moving into her neighborhood. Just disgusting.
Honestly, if you want to convert people to your chars, do it with love, not hate.

WUT ok wow noted ffr
yeah no for real.
exercise and alcohol both have the effect of thinning blood/thinning out clots, which is what period cramps are.
so yeah either one will help with period cramps when you're really hurting
Jake had thought going on a double date with Rosa and Boyle was worth finally snagging an evening out with Santiago--except he now appeared to be on a date with Boyle...
This wasn’t how it was supposed to be.
It was supposed to be the perfect opportunity to show Santiago he wasn’t as dumb as everyone believed him to be; and okay, maybe sometimes he wasn’t very good at math, but no one could tell him that his idea about Turkey Thursdays hadn’t been great.
Across from him Boyle mixes together what looks like mayonnaise and mustard and half the pepper shaker.
Jake feels his throat wince and his stomach flip already. “Rosa,” he starts, his tone already creeping into whining territory, so Captain Holt liked to say. “Can’t I come play with you two over-“
Rosa and Santiago both glared at him over their shoulders. The point further made by the darts in both their hands. “No,” they both answered simultaneously.
Damn. They were really good at that.
Jake wilts under their gazes. He’s forced to look back across the table at Boyle when he speaks.
"Don’t worry, Jake. This is gonna be great."
He wonders if it’s too late to leave.
Oh also, for interviews, as far as US centric, I know that employers are not supposed to ask you really personal questions, but they'll do it anyway.
Case in point I've been point blank asked if I plan on having kids or what my political affiliation is. They are not supposed to ask you this and it gets awkward, so I think it helps to come up with a blank stock answer in case you do and you don't get thrown off. I always answer with "I'm focused on myself and my career" at the moment.
Another point is that you are selling yourself to the employer. They don't care so much as what's on your resume to be rehashed. They already know that. They want to know immediately how beneficial you can be to them.
AND, that old adage of it's not me, it's you does apply. Sometimes you get into interviews and realize this is not a place you want to work. That's okay!
