PERSONALITY/LIFESTYLE:
Williams' life growing up was seen as perfect, everything about him, his grades, his weight, his looks, his speech, his spelling and his writing, everything about him looked ‘perfect’. Everyone thought of him as perfect, making their expectations of him high, and being disappointed when he wasn't able to do something. Ever since a young boy his mother would force him to practice everything until he was the best you could be. He would cry and get frustrated but his mom would hit him and tell him to work harder, or keep working. He grew dull to the pain and instead of playing with the other kids in the neighborhood he would stay home doing writing lessons, and piano lessons.
By the time William was in his teens he could write in several fonts perfectly, and tended to write all of his school work in cursive (that he started doing as a way to practice, but it stuck). He was starting to be seen as the popular boy, he moved schools but ever since he's become popular he's tried to be perfect for everyone. He curses to himself in his head when he messes up, and pushes past it like it didn't happen, forcing himself to do and act the ‘perfect’ his mom made him learn to be.
Ever since he was a little boy he had perfect grades, the perfect attitude towards the teachers, and the ‘perfect’ friend groups. Everyone looked up to him, and all girls loved him, he was considered the most popular in all his classes, and he was used to it.
William realizes how he was treated as a child is wrong, but he continues to act ‘perfect’ from the fear of being hit again. He was lied to as a child being threatened and deprived of dinners as punishment if he didn't study or do his work the exact way it was supposed to be done. Even as an older teen he still tries to be the most perfect he can be and be the most popular in the school.
He's nice to everyone, even the people who bully him, because that's what his mom told him to do. He dates girls because that's what his mom told him to do, he's never even broke up with them unless they do it, because his mom told him to.
Growing up he wanted to do his own thing, but he didnt out of complete fear of being bruised again. His wings are solid purity, not even one feather has a sin spot on it, all because he's been scared of doing anything wrong as a child.
He's been attracted to boys from a young age, always finding them so cute and handsome, he would sometimes even struggle to force himself not to stutter around one he found cute. He's never been attracted to girls, he would see them no different then a stranger or his mother, just a human and nothing is appealing about them, but of course he could never say this to anyone. His first kiss was with a girl, she was all excited but he had to force himself to smile and pretend to love her back. He was excited when her parents found out and she broke up with him, he felt free and relieved he didn't have to lie anymore. The only thing he didn't mind from that relationship was the company, but he wished he didn't have to go through seeing her cry, it made him feel bad.
Some of the things he pretends to like is reading and playing the piano, teasing the girls in the halls and dressing up clean and proper. But in reality he hates it, and on his days off from school he locks his door and strips down, wearing tank tops and comfier pants. He lets his hair become a mess and he feels relieved to finally be himself. What things William actually likes is singing, growing up his mother never forced him or forced him to take lessons, so that was the only hobby little him could think of that his mother never forced him to do.
William fell for a short messy boy, the nerd type who always hid in books and lurked around the school quietly, the type to get bullied for no reason. William always worried about what people would think if he approached him to ask his name, so he never even knew his name. But from how nervous the boy acted and how pure his smile was when he smiled down at the fish in the pond he looked perfect. William craved to get to know him, but he knew it would ruin his ‘perfect’ image, so the fear of being made fun of or hit forced him to stay away from them. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
