he likes to believe his parents were in love, but after seeing and meeting maybe half of all the gods' offspring, it's become clear to him that fertility doesn’t equal any type of adoration. momentary desire doesn’t equal permanent infatuation. he is the product of pure lust, like the majority of the other demigods he’s surrounded by.

so yeah, leo valdez stopped believing in love around the same time he stopped believing in santa clause and the tooth fairy (although the santa thing was a major bummer). he never expected to find it in the water, of all places. maybe fireboy and watergirl were onto something.
