At the sound of the pet name, Allison smiles despite herself and turns around in her patio chair. Lindsey is standing there in the open doorway, holding a steaming pink mug of coffee in each hand.

“Hi,” Allison answers, a smile rising to her tired face. “I was just watching the rain.”

Lindsey’s eyes darken with unspoken understanding; wordlessly, she comes to sit in the chair at Allison’s side, setting Allison’s coffee on a coaster for her.

first impression- i liked her more than most of the other cop characters, but i didn’t really think about her very much beyond that.

current impression— still the best cop character, and i think one with a lot of missed potential!! i respect leigh’s commitment to taking all of his characters with him to the best of his ability, but it would have been nice if kerry had survived into the hoffman cycle. alas.

favorite moment— i think all the scenes in saw 2 with her trying to persuade everyone not to use violence are really good!! the scene where she discovers the extent of eric’s corruption and brutality is really good, too.

idea for a story— i can’t say too much, but one of the chapters of the sleeping with ghosts epilogue series is going to focus pretty squarely on kerry :)

unpopular opinion— while the angel trap IS iconic and a very cool design, it also feels like an unusually misogynistic design/trap sequence for that point in the series, and i’ve always felt like it’s a bit excessive (up to that point in the series, i believe it’s the most complicated and graphic trap).

favorite relationship— as far as what we get to see onscreen in canon, i really think her relationship with tapp is interesting!! that’s something i would have LOVED to see in more detail if there had been a chance for it.

favorite headcanon— the extrapolation of “kerry was the fbi’s liaison” into “kerry and perez had a thing” is BEYOND inspired. as far as i know you’re the person that pioneered that ship and now it’s so dear to me!!

A memorable meal this year: When I went to EPCOT with my girlfriend we had kebabs and Moroccan bread in the Morocco section and it was SO good. I also had a lot of fun meals with my coworkers when we went on a business trip to California.

Did you create any characters this year: I redid my FFXIV character. She's named Claudia and she's an Au Ra.
