Everyone loves tree Slenderman, I've never been happier. 🥹💖💫
I was thinking today of the usual brothers and all, the reason why Slender is so aggresive usually is because people cut his family down and turned them into timber, I just don't know if the usual other brothers should be alive and Slender is overprotective of them or if I just let them die with the rest of the walking tree colony.
So after disappearing for a week I'm back to ramble about my Slenderverse story.
The reason why I chose Eucalyptus to be Slenders forest is because when I was a kid I remember each time we went out of town there would just be these fields of eucalyptus randomly spaced around, and I just loved the way they loomed over everything and how the sun would shine between the slim trees.
People plant them for easy wood since they grow really tall really quick (in comparisson to other trees) and they work well for fires and all sorts of fuel.
I just love the feeling they give, it's like a horror movie but beautiful, especially when it gets foggy in the early dawns of the morning, that is the vibe I imagine this story has after midnight since it's set in Rainy River Town, and where there are rivers there's fog, otherwise it's just dark and turquoisish and desaturated.
The town is very conservative and dark and gloomy, extremely superstitious (for obvious reasons), except for the Bimbo group who are all flashy, and also despised by the town residents.
These are some pictures I took while out in a taxi, whenever I see these I think of Those Dog Days, I also saw an entire eucalyptus crop(? That a factory had for timber and couldn't stop imagining how mad Slender would be.
Slenderman is a very good observer, there isn't much else for a tree to do other than observe it's surroundings, and what he finds out one day is that Bimbangel together with other humans really like petting other mammals, even birds sometimes, he takes that quite literally and starts petting Bimbangel.
They do like it but not because people do, that's just a Bimbangel thing.
Also sorry for being gone, if you don't follow my main illustrating endeavours, I have many many maaaany stories other than "Those Dog Days" and I jump around them a lot, but I do plan on fixing my routine and time up for each story better so I can pop up here more frequently.
Would it make more sense for these dog days to be an rpg or for it to be a visual novel? I have no clue and I honestly don't know how to figure that out.
Because the illustrations in themselves are in pixelart, very fitting for an rpg, but I don't actually know what would make more sense for the story, I have to think about that.
